Brazilian Grand Prix Qualifying: Bottas edges Vettel

With his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton out of qualifying after sliding into the barriers, Valtteri Bottas took over the mantle to take pole position for the Brazilian Grand Prix, narrowly edging out Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel with a last gasp effort at Interlagos. Bottas rose to the occasion on the final run in Q3, toppling Vettel off the top of the timing screens with a lap of 1:08.322 which was four hundredth of a second better than the Ferrari driver and enough to claim the top spot start for the race.
