Ricciardo and Hartley take Mexico engine penalties

Mexican Grand Prix – Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo and Toro Rosso driver Brendon Hartley will take engine penalties for the Formula 1 race in Mexico. After qualifying a ‘helpless’ seventh, Red Bull have made a tactical engine change on Ricciardo’s car, giving him his sixth internal combustion engine and turbo and seventh MGU-H of the season. This will result in a 20-place grid penalty, dropping him to 16th on the grid. Hartley qualified in 13th after he suffered an engine failure before he could put a lap time in during Q2, aided by neither McLaren going out in the session due to their multitude of engine penalties.
