Verstappen cleared over Bottas Q3 incident

Red Bull's Max Verstappen has escaped punishment for his run-in with Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas in qualifying for Formula 1's Mexican Grand Prix. Bottas came up on a slowing Verstappen on approach to the Turn 13 left-hander on his first flying lap in the final qualifying segment, and locked up on corner entry after avoiding the Red Bull. He abandoned the lap and subsequently suggested Verstappen should be penalised for “ruining” his effort. However, after the stewards investigated the incident and heard from the Dutchman himself, they decided against taking any further action.
