Hunt's 1976 championship win at Fuji recreated

On this day in 1976, after a thrilling battle against the elements and his rivals in the Japanese Grand Prix, James Hunt won the Formula 1 world championship by just one point from arch-rival Niki Lauda. The race at Fuji has been well chronicled, but Czech-based digital studio Unique & Limited produced a stunning rendition of Hunt's memorable achievement. The company uses a clever blend of computer-generated images and original photography to bring to life unique moments in motorsport history. In this instance, a real McLaren M23 was photographed and Freddie Hunt, James' son, was even brought in to play his father in the image, or at least his father's eyes.
