Stroll, Magnussen hit with penalties after US GP qualifying
Lance Stroll and Kevin Magnussen have both been hit with grid penalties for the United States Grand Prix after on-track incidents during Formula 1 qualifying at the Circuit of The Americas on Saturday. Stroll qualified 17th after suffering from a deployment problem on his Williams FW40 during Q1, but was caught up in an incident with Romain Grosjean that saw the Haas driver take to the grass in evasive action. Stroll slowed and moved to the right-hand side of the track at Turn 19 in order to allow Daniil Kvyat through, only to put himself in Grosjean's path and force the Frenchman to think fast to avoid a collision.
