Kevin Magnussen and Lance Stroll get grid drops for blocking
Kevin Magnussen and Lance Stroll have both been handed three-place grid penalties by the United States Grand Prix race stewards for blocking rivals during qualifying. Although Magnussen and his Haas team admitted blame and apologised to the Force India's Sergio Perez, having been led to believe he wasn't on a quick lap, the stewards decided to take action after examining footage and radio messages. 'The driver of car 20 admitted he had impeded car 11 and the team admitted it had inadvertently incorrectly advised the driver that Perez was on an out-lap,' the stewards said.
