Grid penalty confirmed for Verstappen after engine change
Red Bull has confirmed that Max Verstappen will receive a 15-place grid penalty for tomorrow's US Grand Prix after an engine change on the Dutchman's RB13. Mileage and the end of a component cycle forced an ICE and MGU-H change on Verstappen's car. The team hesitated to take on new parts in Austin or in Mexico next week but ultimately decided on implementing the change this weekend. Verstappen joins Nico Hulkenberg (20-place drop), rookie Brendon Hartley (25-place drop) and McLaren's Stoffel Vandoorne (5-place drop) in the grid drop camp.
