Hartley "100 percent deserves" Toro Rosso shot - Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo says his friend Brendon Hartley "100 percent deserves" his F1 shot with Toro Rosso after the New Zealander "nearly fell to the bottom" during his racing career. Hartley will be making his grand prix debut in the United States Grand Prix with the Faenza-based squad alongside Daniil Kvyat, who returns to the team after being replaced by Pierre Gasly in the previous two races. Hartley was part of the Red Bull programme but was dropped in 2010 before going on to have a successful spell in the World Endurance Championship with Porsche, which signed him in 2014.
