Repeat failure at Ferrari 'completely unacceptable', says Symonds

Former Williams tech boss Pat Symonds is at a loss to explain how Ferrari allowed Kimi Raikkonen to suffer the same mechanical failure as Sebastian Vettel in Malaysia. Vettel was barred from qualifying in Sepang by a sudden engine issue, only for his Scuderia team mate to suffer an identical breakdown the next day, on the grid, before the race even started! Symonds points to negligence in the Ferrari camp, insisting that the Italian squad should have double-checked the Finn's car in the aftermath of Vettel's demise.
