Norris in the frame for McLaren reserve role

Lando Norris could be named as McLaren's reserve driver for next season, says racing director Eric Boullier. While the role has belonged to Jenson Button this season, the Brit is expected to reliquish it as he seeks a full-time ride in another series. Should he do so, European Formula 3 driver Norris is reportedly the favourite to replace him after impressing McLaren during this year's post-Hungarian test. Asked if he could become the team's reserve, Boullier replied: 'It could be. 'If he wins Formula 3, which is very likely, then he will have enough points to get a superlicence.
