Raikkonen takes new gearbox after Suzuka FP3 crash, gets penalty

Kimi Raikkonen has become the fifth driver to receive a grid penalty for this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix after Ferrari was forced to change the gearbox on his Formula 1 car following a crash in final practice at Suzuka. Raikkonen ran wide at the exit of Degner 2 midway through FP3, crashing into the barrier and causing damage to the left-hand side of his car, with the gearbox also taking a hit. Ferrari is working hard to get Raikkonen's car ready for qualifying, but was forced to change the gearbox on the Finn's car, triggering a five-place grid penalty.
