Williams confirms plans to test Kubica, di Resta
Williams technical chief Paddy Lowe has confirmed the team plans to test both Robert Kubica and Paul di Resta in the coming weeks to evaluate them for a Formula 1 seat in 2018. Williams is currently considering a number of drivers for a seat alongside Lance Stroll next year, currently occupied by Felipe Massa, whose future is understood to be bleak despite being eager to remain with the team. Reports emerged in the days leading up to the Japanese Grand Prix race weekend that Williams was planning to hold a shootout between Kubica and di Resta at the Hungaroring soon as both look to make full-time returns to F1.
