Ferrari changes Sebastian Vettel's engine after electrical problem

Ferrari has undertaken a precautionary engine change on Sebastian Vettel’s car prior to qualifying for the Malaysian Grand Prix. Vettel, who topped Friday practice, finished second in the final one-hour session on Saturday afternoon, 0.162s behind team-mate Kimi Raikkonen. However, Vettel’s car developed a technical problem during the closing stages and he returned to the pits at slow speed, keeping his SF70-H in second gear. Ferrari soon deemed that an electrical fault was the cause and have changed Vettel’s power unit prior to qualifying. Vettel has not taken on parts which breach the German’s allocation and, as a result, he has not taken a grid penalty. Vettel...
