China secures its F1 future with new three-year deal

Formula 1 will return to Shanghai for the next three years as the sport's owners agree to a new deal with the promoters of the China Grand Prix. While the deal has yet to be officially announced, confirmation is expected imminently. China first appeared on Formula 1's schedule back in 2004 and has steadily grown to become a pivotal event for the sport and its manufacturer teams for which the country represents a massive marketing asset.
