Daniel Ricciardo says Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen ‘has been my greatest competitor yet’ and feels with a car capable of challenging for Formula 1 world titles they would both be in the hunt. The Australian driver endured the early pain of unreliability with two DNFs in the opening four races of 2017 but has bounced back with seven rostrum results including his victory in Azerbaijan in June to charge to fourth in the drivers’ championship.
