Red Bull goes aggressive on Suzuka tyre choices

Red Bull has taken an aggressive approach with regards to tyre compounds choices for next weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, compared to primary rivals Mercedes and Ferrari. Pirelli has nominated the Supersoft, Soft and Medium compounds for the sport’s annual visit to Suzuka, and Red Bull pair Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen will have nine sets of the red-banded rubber available. Title rivals Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel have made the same selections, with seven sets of Supersofts, five Softs and one Medium compound to get them through the weekend.
