FIA confirms Halo crash test details for 2018 The FIA has confirmed the crash test requirements for the ‘Halo’ cockpit protection for the 2018 Formula 1 season after updating the technical regulations for next year. The F1 Strategy Group approved the introduction of Halo for 2018 in July, with the World Motor Sport Council rubber-stamping the decision at its latest meeting in Paris this week. In the announcements made by the FIA on Thursday, the crash test details for Halo were confirmed via the technical regulations, allowing teams to finalise their chassis designs for next season.
