Jolyon Palmer delighted by 'huge' Singapore result

Renault driver Jolyon Palmer labelled his sixth-place finish at the Singapore Grand Prix as “huge”, after collecting the best result of his Formula 1 career. Palmer entered the weekend without a point to his name in 2017, while Renault confirmed that the Briton will not be part of the team’s plans next year, having signed Carlos Sainz Jr. In a wet/dry Singapore Grand Prix, defined by a dramatic first-lap clash involving several leading contenders, Palmer made progress off the line and ultimately came home seventh. “I’m so happy.
