Hulkenberg: Beating McLaren with late Singapore Q3 lap 'quite satisfying'

Nico Hulkenberg was pleased to win the fight to be the 'best of the rest' behind Formula 1's leading three teams in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, taking P7 on the grid for Renault. The close-knit midfield fight between Force India, Williams, Toro Rosso, Haas, Renault and McLaren looks set to continue in Singapore, with all of the teams dicing with Q1 elimination. Hulkenberg was able to work his way through to Q3 before producing a rapid final lap, taking P7 on the grid and finishing just two-tenths of a second off Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas.
