Toro Rosso & McLaren confirm power unit switches

Both McLaren and Toro Rosso have confirmed that they will be running with new power unit partners from 2018, partnering Renault and Honda respectively. After a frustrating last couple of years, McLaren have elected to end their partnership with Honda, which started back in 2015. With Honda not looking to pull out of Formula One, they have signed a multi-year agreement with Toro Rosso, which was facilitated by the Italian team ending their power unit contract with Renault early. The deal for Toro Rosso means that the team will have used three different power unit suppliers in three seasons; Ferrari in 2016, Renault in 2017 and Honda in 2018.
