McLaren signs multi-year deal F1 engine deal with Renault
McLaren has confirmed the signing of a three-year deal to race with Renault Formula 1 engines from 2018 after cutting ties with Honda. McLaren announced on Friday it would be ending its partnership with Honda by mutual consent after just three seasons, having struggled to fight any higher than F1's midfield during that period. With Honda linking up with Toro Rosso from 2018, a Renault engine supply was freed up that could be snapped up by McLaren, with the news being made official soon after the Honda announcement on Friday.
