Carey: Singapore has long-term F1 future

– Formula 1 CEO Chase Carey says Singapore has a long-term place on the calendar, despite this year's event being the last under the current contract, with a new deal yet to be reached.Singapore joined the schedule in 2008 as the sport's inaugural night race and in 2012 signed a new five-year deal, securing its future through to 2017.Singapore, along with China, still has a provisional place on the 2018 calendar, with neither country having yet to finalise a new deal with Formula 1 officials.Ahead of this weekend's event, Carey explained that negotiations are ongoing but that he regards Singapore as a "signature" location for the Asian leg of the championship."We...
