Force India pushes 2017 developments to lockdown fourth place

Force India team principal Vijay Mallya says his squad won’t relent in its 2017 developments with the VJM10 in order to secure fourth place in the Formula 1 world championship – a move he sees will boost its 2018 prospects. While a number of teams begin to switch development focus towards its 2018 cars, as the Halo cockpit protector complicates chassis designs, Mallya wants Force India to continue to focus on the current campaign in order to take its second consecutive fourth place finish and bank the healthy F1 prize money.
