Record attendance at the Italian Grand Prix

< > A week after a sell out at the Belgian Grand Prix, Formula 1 have confirmed that another record crowd turned out for the Italian Grand Prix, where 185,000 fans went through the turnstiles during the course of the weekend. Figures distributed by Formula 1 confirmed that a record 185,000 spectators were at Monza during the course of the weekend to watch, which is up 32.8 per cent on 2016 attendance figures, and a 15.7 per cent increase on the previous attendance record at the venue that dates back to 2000 during the Michael Schumacher era.
