Hamilton takes championship lead with Monza win

Italian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton claimed his sixth win of the season ahead of Valtteri Bottas to take a three-point lead in the drivers' championship. The Mercedes driver converted his pole position to lead a dominant Mercedes 1-2 victory with Sebastian Vettel finishing over thirty seconds behind in third. With the top three able to make light work of overtaking high-qualifying midfielders Lance Stroll (Williams) and Esteban Ocon (Force India), Daniel Ricciardo was the only other driver to make a challenge for a podium place.
