Vandoorne denied 'proper go' in Q3 phase
– Stoffel Vandoorne has explained that he suffered a loss of power during the final qualifying phase at the Italian Grand Prix, denying him a "proper go".Vandoorne finished in the top 10 in both of Friday's dry practice sessions at Monza, and translated that pace to the wet conditions in qualifying.However, after progressing from Q1 and Q2, his engine developed an issue in Q3, and he had to abort his final run, leaving him 10th, before penalties."Unfortunately, we didn't get to have a proper go in Q3 – we had a loss of engine power so I had to abandon my quicker lap," Vandoorne commented."It's a shame because I really think we could have pushed our way...
