Honda to demo race-winning RA300 at Monza

– Honda is planning a special demonstration run with the RA300 in the build up to the Italian Grand Prix, to mark the 50th anniversary of its debut victory at Monza.Honda's RA300 was introduced towards the end of the 1967 season and retained the same V12 engine as the RA273, but the chassis was designed by Lola's Eric Broadley.Based on a previous Lola Indianapolis 500 car, the T90, it was internally named the T130, with the collaboration leading to the nickname 'Hondola' in the media.John Surtees piloted the car in Italy, the United States and Mexico, scoring a famous win on its debut, overtaking Jim Clark (ran out of fuel) and Jack Brabham (ran wide) on the final lap.It marked the...
