Robert Kubica completes first laps in 2017 Renault F1 car

Robert Kubica has completed his first laps behind the wheel of Renault’s 2017 Formula 1 car, on day two of the Hungaroring test. F1 teams have remained at the circuit after last weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix for the second and final in-season test. F2 racer Nicholas Latifi drove for Renault on day one, with Kubica getting his first laps in a modern F1 machine on day two. It is his first outing in a contemporary F1 car since his horrific rally crash six and a half years ago, which interrupted his career. Earlier this year, Kubica completed runs in GP3 and Formula E cars, before two F1 tests in a Renault-liveried Lotus E20 from 2012 at Valencia and Paul Ricard. On Tuesday,...
