Grosjean: Halo decision 'a sad day for F1'

– Grand Prix Drivers' Association Director Romain Grosjean has described Formula 1's decision to introduce the 'halo' head protection device in 2018 as a "sad day" for the sport.F1 has been pushing to increase head protection, following a handful of incidents and near-misses, with the halo emerging as the FIA's preferred device last year.F1's planned introduction of the halo for 2017 was delayed by a year while an alternative was explored, though extensive on-track testing was carried out across the second half of 2016.Each team sampled the device, which wraps around the cockpit in the form of three struts, during either Friday practice sessions or testing, though opinion...
