Leclerc to drive for Ferrari in post-Hungarian GP test

Ferrari is to give runaway F2 championship leader Charles Leclerc a first taste of its 2017 Formula 1 car in the post-Hungarian GP test, Motorsport.com has learned. Leclerc has impressed hugely after stepping up to F2 this year, winning five races so far and currently holding a 67-point advantage in the championship standings. As a member of Ferrari's young driver academy, Leclerc's showings have prompted speculation about what the Italian team will do with him next year, as it is clear he has potential to do well in F1.
