Grosjean: ‘Shield, halo don't belong in F1'
Romain Grosjean is strongly against the potential introduction of a 'shield' or 'halo' safety device being used in Formula 1. The 'shield' cockpit protection was given a very short-lived debut by Sebastian Vettel, but he only kept the device on for his installation laps after complaining about dizziness. Grosjean, a director of the GPDA, is also very critical of the concepts in production as he believes there is no place for them in the sport. “I’ve made myself clear since the beginning: we don’t need anything,” the Haas driver said at Silverstone on Friday. “Obviously the test was not very conclusive today. “I’m against every Halo or shield...
