Vettel: Shield made me 'dizzy'

Sebastian Vettel became the first driver to trial Formula 1's new Shield head protection system during British GP practice on Friday. The FIA is continuing to weigh up its cockpit options for 2018 and has committed to introducing some form of improved head protection for drivers, with tests of the Halo and Aeroscreen proving inconclusive last year. And the Shield, described as a "transparent open canopy system constructed using polycarbonate" aimed at "providing significant protection from debris, while ensuring unrestricted forward vision for the driver", is the latest device being tested.
