Sauber talking to 'several candidates' over Team Principal role

Sauber Team Manager Beat Zehnder says the squad is still in discussions with “several candidates” over the vacant role of Team Principal. Monisha Kaltenborn departed the company in the build-up to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix due to “diverging views” regarding the direction of the Swiss outfit. Sauber also confirmed that Kaltenborn’s successor would be announced “shortly” but over two weeks have passed and the position remains vacant. In the absence of a Team Principal, Zehnder and Technical Director Jörg Zander have assumed running of the outfit at Grand Prix weekends.
