Alonso, Vandoorne get initial 15-place drops

– Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne have both initially landed 15-place grid penalties for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, after taking on fresh power units.Alonso and Vandoorne both stated that they would take grid drops at the Baku City Circuit, given their precarious engine situations, and changes were confirmed on Friday morning.Ahead of FP1, Alonso and Vandoorne took on their sixth Turbo Chargers, resulting in 10-place penalties, and their sixth MGU-Hs, earning additional five-place drops.Meanwhile, Alonso has moved onto his fourth Internal Combustion Engine and MGU-K.Under current Formula 1 regulations, drivers are permitted to use only four of each of the six elements that make...
