Romain Grosjean in 'good position' if Ferrari seat opens up

Haas driver Romain Grosjean feels that he is in a “good position” should a vacancy at Ferrari open up for 2018. Grosjean currently races for the Ferrari-supplied Haas squad, while the Italian marque has yet to decide on its 2018 line-up, insisting its focus is on the title fight against Mercedes. Grosjean, though, reckons he is well placed to be a contender, should Ferrari opt to look for a new recruit for next year. “I think it’s early days and we’re not even in July,” said Grosjean when asked about his relationship with Ferrari. “Who knows what the F1 grid is going to be like next year.
