Canadian F1 Grand Prix now safe until 2029

During a press conference held Friday at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montréal, it was announced that the Canadian Grand Prix was safe and secure until 2029. The agreement between the Grand Prix and Liberty Media has been officially extended until year 2029. The current contract was to expire in 2024. But Friday, Montréal Mayor Denis Coderre and representatives of the federal and Québec governments announced they would invest $98.2 million to a five-year extension of a contract with Formula One new owners, American enterprise Liberty Media.
