Pirelli says one-stop race 'clearly optimal'

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli says a one-stop approach to the Monaco Grand Prix is "clearly the optimal strategy", with its rubber showing little degradation.According to Pirelli, the quickest strategy is a 28-lap stint on Ultra Softs, with the remaining 50 laps on Super Softs, though this can "vary widely" due to Safety Cars, enabling a pit-stop "without losing too much time".A two-stop strategy, comprising two stints of 22 laps on the Ultra Softs, before a 34-lap stint on the Super Soft, would be "considerably slower".However, drivers starting outside of the top 10, a group that includes 13th-placed Lewis Hamilton, could gamble by...
