Nicholas Latifi gets Renault F1 outing at Pirelli tyre test

Formula 2 racer Nicholas Latifi will complete his first Renault Formula 1 test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Wednesday. The Canadian driver will sample the team’s 2017 F1 car, the RS.17, for the first time during the second and final day of Pirelli’s tyre test. Pirelli has remained at the Spanish Grand Prix venue to complete testing and development of its 2018 tyres. Latifi joined Renault as a test driver last year, as part of a “long-term programme”, and is currently sixth in the F2 standings. He has previously completed private F1 tests for Mercedes and Renault (in a 2012 car), as well as completing an F1 demo last year. “I am extremely honoured...
