Ricciardo happy to take podium 'promotion'

– Daniel Ricciardo says he was pleased to take a podium "promotion" at the Spanish Grand Prix, though remains realistic about a sizeable gap to the front of the field.Ricciardo, having qualified sixth, a second away from pole position, and half a second down on Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen, profited during a dramatic race.A touch from Valtteri Bottas at Turn 1 sent Kimi Räikkönen into Verstappen's car, eliminating the latter two, before Bottas retired with an apparent engine failure.This handed Ricciardo third, behind runaway leaders Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, and he maintained position to record his first podium of the 2017 campaign.Reflecting on the race,...
