Vandoorne handed Monaco grid penalty for Massa clash

McLaren driver Stoffel Vandoorne has received a three-place grid penalty for the Monaco Grand Prix after his race-ending collision with the Williams of Felipe Massa in Spain. Vandoorne, who had started the Spanish GP last after a 10-place grid drop for a new energy store and control electronics, was defending from Massa on lap 33 when the contact occurred. The Brazilian arrived from far back under braking into Turn 1 and was alongside when Vandoorne turned in, banging wheels with his Williams rival.
