Pirelli expecting two-stop Spanish GP
– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli says it expects a two-stop strategy to be the most popular approach to Sunday afternoon's Spanish Grand Prix, with the Soft compound favoured, and the Hard redundant.Since first practice at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a clear performance gap has emerged between the three available compounds (Soft, Medium and Hard).Pirelli's Hard tyre is unlikely to be seen at all in the race, while the is a difference of around two seconds per lap between the Medium and Soft compounds.As per current F1 regulations, drivers must use two different compounds in the race, but Pirelli has tipped drivers to spend as much time as possible on the Soft...
