Hülkenberg surprised by Renault showing

– Nico Hülkenberg says he was "pleasantly surprised" by Renault's showing on the first day of practice for the Spanish Grand Prix.Hülkenberg wound up seventh in Friday's second session at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the final driver within a second of pace-setter Lewis Hamilton.He was joined inside the top 10 by team-mate Jolyon Palmer, who lapped some three-tenths slower en route to eighth position."It was a solid Friday for us; we completed our usual programme and there were no dramas with the car," commented Hülkenberg."As usual, there are areas we are working on to improve for qualifying tomorrow and we know where some extra pace can be...
