Renault has to perform on track to earn respect - Abiteboul

Renault F1 boss Cyril Abiteboul says that the team has to perform on track to earn the respect of the sport’s key stakeholders – which will in turn secure a place in the Strategy Group.   Renault is the biggest team without membership of the Strategy Group, although it could win a place for 2018 by beating Force India to the "best of the rest spot" alongside permanent members Ferrari, Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren and Williams. However, along with the three other non-member teams, it has now been invited to attend meetings.
