McLaren rule out Mercedes engine switch

McLaren boss Zak Brown has dismissed rumours that the team will ditch Honda in favour of a return to Mercedes next season. The Woking team are yet to secure their first World Championship point after a disastrous start to the 2017 campaign which has been blighted by multiple breakdowns and retirements from both McLaren drivers. As a result, there have been strong calls from McLaren to end their damaging relationship with engine supplier Honda, but Brown has denied that they will seek a reunion with former partners Mercedes.
