Vandoorne set for 15-place grid penalty

Stoffel Vandoorne's dismal luck continued in Russia on Friday as news broke that the Belgian racer will have a 15-place grid penalty after yet another engine change. Although McLaren seemed to be on course for a trouble-free first practice at the Sochi circuit, that was undone when Vandoorne complained of 'no power' towards the end of the session. Honda believe that the problem stems from the MGU-K, and have opted to do a complete engine change. As such Vandoorne is moving onto his fifth MGU-H and turbocharger meaning the Belgian racer will receive a 15-place grid penalty for Sunday's grand prix.
