Pirelli confirms 2017 F1 tyre testing programme

Pirelli has confirmed its tyre testing schedule for the 2017 campaign, with all 10 teams set to be in action across eight different venues this year. Pirelli is permitted to undertake 25 private test days in order to carry out development of its tyres, and this year all Formula 1 teams will be involved in the running. Last season, only Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull participated, supplying modified 2015 machinery, as Pirelli prepared to introduce its wider tyres. As was the case last year, drivers and teams will not be aware of the compounds in use, with all data to be shared across the paddock.
