Alonso's Monaco replacement "not in place" yet - McLaren

McLaren executive director Zak Brown says the Formula 1 team has not yet locked in a driver to replace Fernando Alonso for next month’s Monaco Grand Prix. Alonso will skip the race on the last weekend of May, instead making his debut in the Indianapolis 500 in a McLaren entry run by Honda IndyCar squad Andretti Autosport. His former teammate Jenson Button remains on McLaren’s books until the end of 2018 but is on a sabbatical in a deal brokered by deposed chairman Ron Dennis last year. While the 2009 world champion would appear an obvious choice, Brown says no decision has been made on who will partner rookie Stoffel Vandoorne, leaving that to racing director Eric Boullier....
