Ricciardo, Perez reprimanded for anthem ceremony incident

Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez have been reprimanded for being late to the start of the national anthem ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix. The time that Formula 1 drivers have for their reconnaissance laps to the grid has been reduced from 15 to eight minutes for this year. The move was in part aimed at giving the drivers more time to get to the grid in time for start of the national anthem ceremony. This year's sporting rules state that "14 minutes before the scheduled start of the formation lap all drivers must be present at the front of the grid for the playing of the national anthem".
