Grosjean, Palmer hit with five-place penalties

Haas' Romain Grosjean and Renault's Jolyon Palmer will start at the back of the grid after both drivers were slapped with five-place grid penalties. The pair, who had qualified in P17 and P18 respectively, were both deemed guilty of failing to slow down under double waved yellow flags as Antonio Giovinazzi's crash at the final corner ruined any chance of either reaching Q2. Both drivers were also given three points apiece on their licenses, which puts Palmer onto seven and now over halfway toward a one-race ban that comes into effect after 12 points are accumulated.
