Alonso says he 'didn't care' about risks
– Fernando Alonso says he "didn't care too much about risking over the limit" as he hustled his McLaren-Honda to 13th on the grid for the Chinese Grand Prix.Alonso and team-mate Stoffel Vandoorne finished back in 17th and 19th during final practice, at a Shanghai track that McLaren feared would "expose" the weaknesses of its Honda-powered MCL32.However, in qualifying, Alonso delivered another standout performance, progressing to Q2 in 10th position, aided by Antonio Giovinazzi's late crash, before grabbing 13th."We really pushed to the maximum," said Alonso."In qualifying, I did the lap flat out in some corners, I didn't care too much about risking...
